The Dragon Turtles are the largest and most heavily armored creatures in Cathay, protected by a extremely tough bony shell with scales that covers most of its body and thick leathery skin. Unlike their distant cousins, the Celestial Dragons and Qilin who are highly intelligent creatures wielding immense magical powers, the Dragon turtles has lost all the magical affinity of its draconic ancestry and devolved into a feral state. They are used as a mobile artillery battle station in war harnessed with three platform manned by a small platoon of Firelancers and equipped with two bronze cannons each side pavilions for breaching city walls while the main platform housed the Divine lance Battery. Although similar in appearance to the Empire's Helstorm Rocket Battery that was inspired by Cathayan fireworks, the Divine lance Battery functions more as a cluster of iron ballista bolts with black powder rocket motor attached to its shaft and a incendiary warhead.
