In 1597IC, Prince Xen ha Feng was sent to a diplomatic mission to Lahmia. During his visit, he was offered the Elixir of Life from Queen Neferata that turned him into the first of the Jade Blooded. Shortly after returning to Cathay, Prince Xen instigated a large scale rebellion in a bid for succession that ended in failure and escaped to the semi-vassal state of Han Kou in the north eastern peninsula. The JiangShi Silklords are the inner ring of the Court of the Jade blooded. Most of the Silklord are either a part of, or directly sired by the original emissary of Prince Xen to Lahmia. Their numbers of few, but are amongst the most powerful of the Jade-Blooded hierarchy. Their extreme age and unique bloodline affliction has render most of these vampires lords rather fragile though that doesn't make them any less deadly. Having centuries to hone their unholy crafts, no one in the Eastern lands can rival their mastery in the art of necromancy and Jade blooded charms magic. Although all Silklords have once swore an allegiance to Prince Xen in his goal to capture the Dragon Throne, their enthusiasm waned as centuries have passed since the failed rebellion until it was but a half faded memory. What took place instead was inter-faction rivalry that has escalated into a never ending cycle of aggression and reprisal that consumes each Silklords' undivided attention. These conflict may have initially started as legitimate discourse on how to rebuild their strength in Han Kou, but eventually it has devolved into petty squabbling that no one remembers the origin anymore. As shifting alliances form and disintegrate, even Prince Xen is powerless to rein in all the Silklords that has now established their own courts and agents all over Cathay.
